Show and Tell

This year we started something new:

Show and Tell. The idea popped up from the belonging project, by 3 people. The belonging project project was a mini project that we did at the beginning of the year, before the new kids came in. We put ourselves into groups and came up with an activity, to help the new kids feel like they belonged. The boys presented the idea and it was a hit.

The Show and Tell was a good idea because you could explain what you like, tell stories and learn about each other. You might even learn something about someone you already know! For example, I learned that a girl in my class used her stuffed animal to get her siblings in trouble. The Show and Tell is a great way to learn about each other.

The Show and Tell happens every Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 to 9:15. So far we’ve seen a bell, a special fossil and 2 stuffed animals. All of them have come with interesting stories. We’ve got more people signed up for future dates as well. We have been working with Division 15 on this. Its been great so far and we can’t wait for the next Show and Tell!

So far I have loved seeing people share about their lives, and bring in things to help tell a story, or to tell more about themselves. I look forward to seeing more in the future!

I really like the idea “show and tell” and I think it is a great way to start a conversation or make connections with people.I really enjoyed learning about the different things about people,I wonder what people with share 🙂

I think show and tell was a great idea. its one of those things you did when you were younger but fade away as you get older and it sort of refreshes it.
