Assignment #1 Week of June 1

Dear Division 16,

Here is our final blog homework assignment from Naslishah:

We have studied and practiced using virtues and virtues strategies for the past 7 weeks. I wanted to get a quick feedback on what was most helpful and/or interesting for you? Can you please write few lines about the strategy or the tools (virtue cards, virtue shield, virtue gems, virtue vouchers, etc) that you find most useful/helpful/interesting?
Thank you in advance for your helpfulness.

I found that you coming into our class was a big benefit for everyone. My favorite thing was making the virtues sheilds and gems. I liked making these because I liked looking into myself and finding what virtue I need to practice and what virtues I am already good at. I also found it the most rewarding because now that I realize that I need to practice some virtues, I am already catching myself in some situations.
Thank you for for teaching me more about virtues and I hope you notice me using them at home.

      Dear Subway2go,
I am glad to hear that you enjoyed making Virtues Shield and it was a helpful tool for you in looking at your strengths and weaknesses. As your mom, I am noticing that you are trying to be more flexible. Keep up the great work…

I think that meditating was the most interesting part and my personal favourite part because it gave you a chance to go deep inside yourself and think about things that you wouldnt otherwise think about. I also enjoyed making the virtues gems because it made you feel good about yourself to see what other people thought about you.

I thought that all of the virtues work that we did was very inspirational in how we can improve our spirits and learning how to talk to another person’s inner self without making them defensive. I thought that making the virtues shields was very interesting because we wrote down our own opinions and you understand your self more after the experience. Thank you Naslishah, for coming in to share your wisdom and change us for the better. I hope that other people learn about the virtues the same way you taught us.

I am elated that you found virtues work inspiring and found speaking the language of virtues helped you communicate information with gentleness. I am also glad to hear that you had a better understanding of yourself after completing your Virtues Shield. Keep up the great work, using the language of virtues will help you lifelong…

  4. Scarletcat

I think that the virtue shields really helped me because I feel like I learned more about myself and my strength and growth virtues. I also thought that the virtue gems were really interesting, you got to see what other people thought about you and others core virtues. My favourite virtue activity was the meditating, especially the one where you imagined you were a flower swaying in the breeze. I feel like I am a better person since we started doing the meditation, like I can reflect on things and take a few minutes to mindfully listen and breathe.

    • naslithony

I am so pleased to hear that you reaped great benefits from becoming familiar with the Virtues Work. The shield and the gem helped raised awareness of your core virtues and what you need to work on. I am also very pleased to hear that you are using the meditation techniques you learned in your daily routine. Keep up the great work and keep on breathing in and out, it is a great way of letting of steam and slowing down time….

for all of the virtue sessions what I found that was most helpful was the meditations, I found it helped me be way more relaxed in every session that there was and it’s way more helpful now that I use this mediation as a tool to calm me. what I

    • naslithony

That is so wonderful to hear that the meditation helped calm you down and that it has become an integral part of your daily life. It is a great way to lower stress and to connect with your inner self. Keep up the great work and keep on meditating.

Even though I wasn’t there to see all of those things, you really taught me in the blog posts about virtues. I had never heard of them before, and it was fun learning all of the different virtues.Thank you for teaching us and I hope you enjoyed teaching us too.

I loved teaching your class, it was my honor to be exposed to such wonderful, enthusiastic and loving children. I am glad to hear the you learned a lot from the blog posts. Keep up the great work and keep on practicing the language of virtues in day to day interactions, it will help improve your relationships and communication with others.

I think that the virtues class was very helpful and interesting at the same time. I liked the meditating because it was very relaxing and that we can use it in the future when we are stressed out to let things go and think about those things later. I like the Virtues shields because it said all those things that we have in us and that what is different about all of us, different answers on all of ours.

  8. 3:07MAM

I found that the virtues shields were not only fun but interesting and they really made you think about who you are as a person and who you want to be. But my favourite part of the virtues project was the meditation, particularly the one when you picture that you went through this door and it led into this place that could be anything you wanted it to be. I pictured it was and abandoned amusement park that was overgrown with all kinds of plants and there were tons of animals, all of which seemed so peaceful like they new that nothing bad would ever happen to them in this place. After all the meditations I felt super aware of my behavior and all my reactions to things. You taught me so much, and now that I look back on it I feel like a better person than I was before. ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤ 🙂 ❤

The best part of the Virtues unit for me was the virtues vouchers. It showed us how the language of virtues could be used in a real situation. I think that also some of the guided meditation was quite calming which was pleasant surprise for me since usually that sort of thing does not have that effect on me. I think Naslishah taught us in a way that helped progress to having some experience with virtues.

  10. PointyHedgeHog11

My favourite part about virtues was the guided meditation, although I felt we could have done it more.
My favorite meditation was when we had to think or create a safe place. I thought of a massive library brimming with books and a super comfy armchair in the middle of the room. It really felt more focused after meditating .
I sometimes meditate when I have a problem or thought on my mind. I think it is an important skill to have .

what I found most helpful was the meditation because it made me feel relaxed and calm. It had also taken me to a place where i know will always be there (safe place). It also toke all the stress away from body taking to a stress less place i could relax and be calm in other words safe place.

  12. Cool Sketcher

I found that the solutions to problems was the most interesting because if you use it in real life then the person
you help will see you as a better person and also it’s a good dead to help people and you yourself will feel better too because you would know you helped somebody with there problems.
